NVIDIA Desktop Available for Download

NVIDIA® Corporation, worldwide leader in graphics processors and media and communications devices, has made the NVIDIA® Desktop Theme available for download.

Powered by ObjectDesktop technology from Stardock, the theme includes a WindowBlinds skin, icons and wallpaper.
The theme was designed by Cesar Carrera, the author of Mac OS X Aqua's 3D icons. Technical assistance was provided by Renato Veras (Treetog) and Johanne Chainé (Alexandrie) of Pixtudio.

The theme is available as a complete package, including Object Desktop Light Edition (LE)installer, or as a stand-alone .sdtheme for those who already have WinStyles.

similar to standard xp silver style...only with class
i like the green, it has a clean shine to it, espically on the quick launch bar.

what has me really impressed, is that aside from a lil nvidia logo on the start button, its clean of advertising clutter

It would be even nicer if nVidia didn't have that rediculous bilious green colour in their logo

Other than that great job. Well done in forging the links Koop.

Somehow it just seems like the designers and all didn't put much time into making this skin! I expected a whole lot more from such highly rated names in the business!

This was NVIDIA's first stab at doing it in-house. In the past, when working with their partners, they've contracted the work out to community skinners.

Though I should add that Alexandrie and Treetog helped them over some of the rough edges.

"The" NVIDIA went with a custom skin for this offering. The wine colored one (which Alexandrie, Treetog, GreenReaper, and PJPowell all contributed on) is being used by several NVIDIA OEM's previously mentioned (as well as their custom skins for each.

Let's make something clear, for people to understand well.

In this last skin, Pixtudio just helped the nVidia people on the technical issues (mostly coding), we were not involved on the the design of the skin in anyway.

On the other hand, in the first one (the wine scheme), the design was completly made by us, Greenreaper and PJPowell helped us on the coding part.

The list of NVIDIA OEM partners bundling the skin made by Treetog of Pixtudio with coding help from GreenReaper and PJPowell will be announced this week.

Maybe you could talk to them about support for hardware acceleration of WB in their drivers (like ATI and Matrox).

I agree with the drivers quote.Their lastest drivers are for the birds and don't even work and I have a new G4 Ti4200. >
