I'm at a loss..

Windowblinds 7 issues

Hello, I just purchased Windowblinds 7 last night, I downloaded Impulse installed, and downloaded about 5 or six skins. Iv tried those skins and the ones that come with it. My problem is with everything, Start menu/taskbar/browser, the colors change but everything is in cassic style. Im running XP 64 bit. Iv installed, uninstalled, verified installations, updated, and all these things iv done repeatedly, Iv tried rebooting numerous times after installations, but nothing seems to be working. Im pretty upset as iv searched forums for hours for similar problems/solutions, but can't seem to find anything. Heres what it says under "About Windowblinds" WindowBlinds version :

WindowBlinds 7.01 (build 83 x86) - 64 bit OS

Your machine does not support per pixel borders on WindowBlinds skins.

This is because :

Your computer graphics hardware does not support acceleration of per pixel alpha.  WindowBlinds requires this for per pixel alphablended borders as without it performance would be poor.  Please see if you can obtain new drivers for your graphics hardware.  Recent ATI & NVIDIA boards should support this feature.  Onboard graphics tend not to.

It appears you have enabled limited per pixel mode, so WindowBlinds will support per pixel, but with no hardware support.

Ivtried downloading 3 different drivers from ATI website, and none of them have worked, same result. So iv swithed back to the newest one.

(Plug and Play Monitor) 1 is attached to ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series.

If anybody can help me I would really appreciate it, This looks like an awesome program, and i really want to get it working.

Thanks

Also, i reformatted my computer a few days before and only have but a few programs installed, and Im using Avast antivirus.

Open the WindowBlinds Configuration screen and click on the 'About WindowBlinds' tab.  Copy/paste the complete info from that screen here.

I know that there is Vista and Win 7 64 bit support/compatibility, but I do not believe there is for XP 64 bit.  If someone does not come along and verify that you should email [email protected] and ask that question.

WindowBlinds is no longer 64 bit XP compatible, the last version that was I think was 6.2. You will need to contact stardock support to get this version.
