Google Earth

It's almost like being there!

I'm sure many people have used Google Earth before. But did you know that if you have "street view" checked under "layers" on the bottom left side of the options you can use it will put a camera image on the streets. (Just found this myself) If you click on the camera it will pull you in and plant you right in the middle of the street and you can pan around and see everything on that street. You can also click on the next camera you see and move up or down the street as well.

Google started doing this in 2007...so you won't find cameras in every part of the world...but there are a lot of them out there already. And if you know the address of any of your WC friends or anyone else for that matter you can see where they live.

This page explain the whole project. http://maps.google.com/help/maps/streetview/

First the Fart thread. Now this.

I just knew he'd post this.

Street view, he told me...then he wanted my address. LOL...he found a bunch of trees...Google photographed our area before our development was built (thank G-d).

You should look for Chuck Norris's address.

Call Chuck, WG....tell him "street view"...then, ask him his address... Been nice knowing you, WG...

Black glove and ointment.

"He was here a minute ago..."

I didn't know this, either.... but then I've never used Google Earth, or Google Maps.  The closest I've come to either is when my nephew showed me when Google Maps took a happy snap of him taking a wiz.

He's actually rather proud of it, that he's in a pic that can be seen all around the world, and reckons he'll use it for his next drivers license photo.... doesn't matter that all you can see is the back of him.... and his free hand behind him pointing a 'select' digit towards the Google car.

I made mention that a drivers license photo has to show his face... not just the back of him: "That's alright!" he quipped:  "I'm such a lead foot, that's all the coppers will see of me."

:-"
