Sick of Noobs Crying.

Sick of Noobs Crying.

About getting kicked.

Listen up new players, if your frustrated about being kicked host your own games.

I don't know why this concept is so difficult for people to grasp. Host your game and title it accordingly. If your a noob put "NOOBLETS ONLY KTHX" as your title, don't come into a room that is "good players please" "Pros" "Premades Welcome" or other titles that indicate a knowledge of the game that you don't yet have, you will get kicked everytime.

The reason you are constantly kicked is because in a match with all good players one bad player basically means that team will loose. You will feed the team that is full of people that know what there doing and make it nearly impossible for your good partners to get anywhere against the well equiped, fed team. You are kicked almost immediatly because the team that you are sitting on in the lobby will most likely just leave because they don't want to get rolled.

If you are frustrated about your game not fill up immediatly be patient, my games never fill up in 3 minutes it usually takes atleast 10-30 minutes to get the first game going and after that happens many of the players from the first game return for the second game, this is called making friends.

I hope this post will lessen the amount of crying about being kicked from games. It takes atleast 100 games before you can roll with the big dogs here.

Learn on their own time not mine.

For instance, this tard named Elektrum was playing with me and Naur tonight and just kept charging in like an idiot and kept requiring Naur and I to come in and try and save him. He just kept saying "don't worry about me" over and over and it cost us the game because we couldn't hold a lane from constantly having to leave and save his butt. This guy claimed to not be a noob, as usual, and played retarded.

All noobs should be flogged.

they gotta learn some how. I didn't join "no noob" games when I first started playing.

When you started playing this game was in either in beta phase or just released.

Basically, it all boils down to getting someone on your team killed and then blaming them since they are the ones who died.
End of quote

As a person considering buying this game, threads like this raise red flags for me so I have a few earnest questions before I spend my already limited funds :)  I have been a long time StarDock customer and love their stuff so this has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of the game so much as the state of the community playing the game.

  1. I've played a lot of League of Legends (think DoTA v2) which is an arena style game similar to this so, has anyone here played League of Legends who can comment how similar they really are?  The graphics look great but I'm more interested in the strategic differences in the game and if similar lane pushing/protecting strategies exist.
  2. I see the "pros" telling "noobs" to host their own NOOB game but see other comments saying you sit for 30 minutes to even get a game...is that seriously true?  I ask because if so, I think I'll save my money and stick with LoL as games kick up in minutes there due to their match making system.
  3. If it does take 30 minutes to get a noob game, how long do games last once they start?

Thank you to whom ever takes time to answer!

In my experience, noob games fill up the fastest. The game is very similar to DotA, but I've never played LoL. This games has its problems, but it's pretty fun.

The problem here is people who don't know how to play joining 'no newbs' games.

There are more newb/medium skill games up then NO NEWBS! or EXPERTSONLYLOL.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

But I'll tell you, as far as communities go, I love it here. People get kind of heated when they're discussing different things, but other then that, its great :)

I seriously thank you ALL for the fast and thorough responses.  I am having a great time with LoL but I am truly a StarDock fanboy so wanted to give this a try.  I can understand heated debates over strategies, item builds and the like...all part of the fun of such a game.  I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't going to spend $30 and find out that as a "noob", I couldn't play :)

Thank you all again, I will start the download now and look forward to seeing you all online!

Hit me up if ya wanna play. I'm usually on Tues-Thurs :D

It's a smaller group here then LoL I imagine, but that's why I like it.

dude, $30? no. just no. go to half.com and get it for $10. that's what i did. for $10, the single player alone is worth it.

Doh, already paid the $30.  I love Impulse and any chance I get to support them and that platform.

I'll add you to my friends list Teseer and hit you up...although you may regret having this n00b on your team for a while :)

Its not to hard to improve your skills in this game. You will get it in a hurry especially if you have played LoL or DoTa.
