Capital Ships - Exceeding Limit

Unable to download tool. Unable to read file.

Hi All,

I managed to find the file RESEARCHSUBJECT_MAXCAPTIALSHIPSTECH0...ALL THE WAY TO...7. 

When I try to view the file it says windows can't open the file and so I need assistance as to how I can view the file in order to make the necessary mod.

I was advised to download a tool via link but it says that the internet is down and unable to download it.

Please help.

the entity files in your sins\gameinfo are in bin mode.

I have written a little gui to use the convertdata's that come with sins/entrenchment/diplomacy to convert files between editable(txt) and quickloading(bin). you can download it from either of the download links in the textbin gui thread

there is also two other utilities that can convert the files between txt & bin ie hoho50000's & dekanriks, both of their threads are in the modding area

once the entity's are in txt mode ANY plain text editor like notpad and notpad++ will allow you to make the changes you want in the files
