Some programs don't show file dialogs on Windows 7 with some skin

I've just done a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate, and just put in some programs and Impulse, then got Windowblinds 7 and enabled my favorite skin, MOLTEN.

In some programs. like Firefox 3.5.6 the file dialog does not appear at all. Functions like the "save link as..." or "open file..." don't show anything.

When I tried to go to the Windowblinds interface to tell WB7 not to skin firefox.exe in order to check if it was indeed the skinning the source of the problem, I noticed that even the "add" button in the exception tab of the preferences was unresponsive too.

I reverted to the Aero skin, and all the buttons worked again.

Note that some other applications, like OpenOffice, worked fine even skinned, probably using a differen call for the file dialog.

Any other noticed this behaviour? Should I hope for a new WB7 release or is the skin to be updated?

I just checked the list of skins I have with WB 7 and Molten is no longer there so I have a feeling it will not be supported under Win 7.  You might want to check the Win Customize site and check out some of the new skins that are available.  Guess I am lucky because my personal skin is working fine with WB 7.  I've had to tweak a couple of older skins in Skin Studio to get them to work though.  If you have Skin Studio you might try some tweaks and see if that works.

I tought I've done a fresh install of WB7 (after all, I had to reformat my disk to upgrade from XP-32 to 7-64), but now that you told me I've found on my skin list a couple (Cycolps, DogmaX4) that I'm quite sure I've manually downoload in the past.

I used the Microsotft utility to transfer settings from the old install to the new one, maybe it moved the skin backups and that Impulse/WB7 found them when I reinstalled?

If so, how can I tell if a skin is a WB7/Win7 "certified" from inside WindowBlinds?
