WB 7.01 beta feature

If you own WindowBlinds 7 there is a beta of WB 7.01 on Impulse now.

One of the new features is the addition of presets on the styles tab.  This lets you save colour, texture, transparency and explorer background settings as a new style which appears on the styles tab for that skin.

This was added based on customer feedback.

Additionally those on Windows 7 Starter edition can now apply a wallpaper with a WB skin.

The install fails. I have have a lot of issues overall with v7 and Impulse. I realize Impulse is all about 'hiding' your application behind the install but it is a huge pain to use and is one more point of failure for your product. At the very least you should offer your customers the option to download the install outside of Impulse rather than force them to use it.

No WB 7.01 beta on Impulse :O

The last indicates WindowBlinds7 V 7.00-b-.107 from 12/10/09

BTW I got an Impulse update to Version 3/23.458 build 1309 on 1 PC and two others don't get this update and are stuck to version 3.23.457 build 1309

That Impulse software is completly silly, Neil, please read the whole thread https://forums.wincustomize.com/369581/page/1/#replies

I think that would be the 7.01 beta.

You must remember that we don't increment the build number in Impulse until the release version of a given build.

Just noticed another weird thing.

I installed SkinStudio 7 Pro (which uninstall all previous SkinStudio versions). Since that "Edit in SkinStudio" in WindowBlind's GUI doesn't work anymore :S (XP SP3)

EDIT (2 hours later): TIP for those who might be concerned

- Open Registry

1°)  search for all values C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\SkinStudio\SknStdio.exe and replace them by C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\SkinStudio7\SkinStudio.exe (pay attention to respect the "....." )

2°) search for all SkinStudio keys and verify path is C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\SkinStudio7\SkinStudio.exe

N.B about 50 modifications for me :O

On the styles tab.  Top right of that tab.

Still not seeing it Neil. Do you mean the "Visual Styles" tab? And remember I'm on XP...not sure if this new feature is suppose to work on XP.

No, the second tab which allows you to pick from substyles.
