Right-Click problem

wants to install Acrobat 9

running win7 32-bit - windows7 normal  right-click

Need a computer smart person for this one ...

The Problem:

just installed the Adobe Master Suite 4 - which includes Acrobat 9 ( Acrobat 9 IS INSTALLED )...

but now whenever I right-click on an item - folder - shortcut on my desktop ... a pop-up comes up

trying to install Acrobat 9 .... I hit cancel and it goes to a regular rick-click menu - then it might stay

that way for a while - then the install shows up again later - it also does this sometimes now when

Im in a folder not just the desktop ......

I tried installing right-click(stardock) to see if it would change the settings and fix the problem

but that didn't work ...

So anyone out there smart enough to tell me how I can reset my right-click and fix this problem ?

Thanks for any help .... Az

Something has messed up, re-installing or installing full program updates to Adobe and Apple software often does this , the user accounts get mixed up somehow. With both these companies (and Quicken too) always right click installation files and Run as Administrator to avoid this.

Try re-installing Adobe 9 by right clicking the install file and Run as Administrator - you should be able to selectively install or repair just the programme not behaving correctly.

These two often mess up short cut icons too in that they path to installer files rather than to the executable in Program Files - iTunes on the Taskbar often does this when it updates so best way is to redo the shortcut from the iTunes.exe in the Program Files.
