WB 6.4 Vista "Skinning everything as Windows Classic"

Well,

This is my first post so I am hoping this is in the right area. I recently bought the Object Desktop package from Stardock as I have always heard the hype of WindowBlinds etc. I got a few skins, including those that came with the program. Each and every one of these skins automaticly turn my desktop into the Windows Classic looking skin (You know the really hideous one from 100yrs ago before I was even born). In order to turn the skin back to the original Aero, I have to go to my preferences on my desktop, click it away from the "Windows Vista" Theme, then back again to the vista theme in order to get my desktop back. Also WindowBlinds will not work until the above action (of changing my preferences) has been completed.

I am at a loss, I am not the most savvy with a computer however I definitely know my way around one. The program is 100% paid for, I have the confirmation email the serial number everything. I am not sure if I have done something or if there is something on my computer that may be conflicting.

Thanks for the help in advance

Candace

Did you have the trial version of WindowBlinds loaded before you got Object Desktop?

If you had the trial installed it should've been removed BEFORE installing the paid version(s)

sounds like a borked install.......open impulse, uninstall Windowblinds > reboot > disable any anti-virus, anti-spyware and firewall > open impulse > install Windowblinds > reboot (very important).........enable anti-stuff

hopefully that will fix the problem :)

Expecting a medal, for telling everyone on WC that you've ditched the software the rest of us use and enjoy?

I think not....

Candace, what (if any) "style packs" or customizing programs have you tried on your machine prior to using WindowBlinds? What security apps do you have running? What make and model of computer? Which version of Vista and how much memory is installed? Open WB config and go to the system info tab, copy and paste the info here. You may have a bad install. More information will help  get it sorted out for you.:)

Grayghost 2348,if you even noticed the amount of memory used by all the ODNT apps running all at once, let alone had a performance decrease, you didn't need Tune-up Utilities, you need  better computers or at least more RAM installed in them.
