Disconnection issues.

I have been having several issues with Disconnection past 10 games. I didn't have this issue the first 150 games but for some reason every game I play I disconnect. Quite frustrating if you ask me.

It is not a Fatal error crash or a recent "bug" where everyone can still chat and while I am disconneting. It just flat disconnects me. It isn't my internet firewall either. I am pretty sure of it. I have not changed my settings for this to occur. Nor have I have I had an update with my firewall. I could use assitance if anyone has any solutions. Oh I run game at 8 - 9 speed. And games are not where I am haveing spiking issues.

man i hear u. i dc now litterally every other game. so absolutely frustrating. everybody thinks i rage quit, but i just dc then the game crashes and i have to 'end task'. this only recently started to happen, but it is unbearable now and i will have to stop playing the game unless i can get this to stop.

i have tried lowering graphics and sound to low and disabled everything but the issue continues. i have not noticed a pattern in the dc/crashes.

it is VERY INTERESTING that after i 'end task' my ENTIRE INTERNET IS OUT for 10 seconds or so then returns... is this an issue with my Norton AV, windows firewall, Comcast isp, or the game itself...?

Well, just for testing, uninstall Norton AV and deactivate the Windows Firewall. What type of router and modem do you have (or what type of internet in general)?

i will try uninstalling norton and deactivating the firewall, however i did not have these problems until recently. i played over 600 games (did have some crashing and dc issues then too) but only now has the issue become rampant. it is worth a shot though so thanks for the reply.

comcast isp, scientific atlanta dpc2100r2 series cable modem, linksys wireless g 2.4ghz router (i plug an ethernet cable into the the router / comp before playing and disconect the wireless via the connections screen on the pc)

i have tried bypassing the router (running an ethernet cable directly from cable modem to pc), made sure video and sound drivers were up to date (nvidia geforce 8500 gt / realtek high def audio ... ViXS puretv-u sound device is also listed as a sound device but im not sure what that is), updated directx, ran a registry cleaner, reinstalled demigod several times, all seem unsuccessful.

i will try lowering firewall, resetting cable modem / router to see if that helps

ok another dc right off the bat, however i noticed something new. when i 'end task' in the task manager i saw "network flyout" appear then quickly disapear. i dont know what this is but maybe someone else does.... updated a few more drivers so i will try this again....

How do you disconnect from the WLAN? Do you deactivate the WLAN adapter completely?

i will tell u what it is spookie...does ur count to 30 for tiny little time outs?...because i have this problem exactly only whne im on my laptop on my wireless on the ship.... and it really shits me...cause since like 2 patches ago they make it so it doesnt just keep timing out and counting when u get to 30-40 seconds it now just disconnects u even if ur timing out just for a few seconds at a time...its really the most frustrating thing for me...i wish we could make it 1-2 minute timeouts b4 u get kicked...obviously not count down for 2 minutes consecutively but just a few seconds at a time...

ps i know u said its not when u are spiking but are u sure ur not spiking for like fractions of a second?...if im wrong sorry

He is using the LAN connection, not the WLAN. In his case the whole network connection breaks down, which indicates an issue on the router for example.

oooo, that reminds me of when i was using a D-Link router...costed alot of money....very poor for gaming...now im using a 2wire....i get 1-2 timeouts max a day...and thats from my network not my router.

still getting dc followed by crash issues

i disconnect from the wlan by right clicking on the connections icon in tray (lower right of my desktop) and selecting 'disconnect from ... '

i will try going into the network connections center and disabling the wireless connection all together and see if that helps. i dont think it is my router since i have run a line directly from my cable moden to the pc, bypassing the router all together (i even unplugged it to be sure) and still received same dc issues

maybe a reformatt is in order...u see if somones fiddled on ur computer ur very lucky to get the problem where as reformatting and resetting ur router should fix the prob?
