Cursors I haven't seen...

Is it just me?

I've been busy making new cursors the last few days, and it suddenly occurred to me as I was designing the "Unavailable" cursor, that I had never ever seen it in use! Then, I realised I had never seen a "help" cursor, or a "Precision" cursor, or an "Alternate" cursor, and I have most definitely never seen the "Pen" cursor!!!

So, is it just me? Do any of YOU ever see the aforementioned cursors in use? Because if NOBODY ever sees them, I'm not gonna spend hours designing the bloody things!! :D

Ahhh, why do I think one of my legs in longer then the other now?  :S

I searched the cursor libray for those names and came up with nothing that matched.*_*

Help cursor...normally has a ? on it...used in some menus with a right click funtion.

Pen cursor...I normally see them daily at work in an Office suite app.

Not sure about the others.

Unavailable should show up when you try to drag files somewhere they cannot be moved to.

Since they are so seldom used can't you just use the default cursors for those functions?

Yes, MouseGoddess, but then you feel like you haven't done a proper job of skinning the whole set. And I didn't know if it was just ME that never saw them! :)

I run through all the animations when I download a cursor just to see

i know what you mean boxxi....i have seen the help cursor a few times by sheer accident, ive never seen my pen in action or my unavailable...but i skin them as userfriendly as possible...ive never seen alternate  but like you i skin them, cause if i dont, i feel like im not doing a proper job....

The only ones I have seen are the Help and the Precision cursor. I use the Unavailable pressed mode for my calling card. Like BoXXi, I skin them all anyway.

Precision is used all the time by certain types of applications. Pen cursor same way, if you have a tablet PC you'll see them a lot.
