Not using WB 7 anymore (for now)

I've been using WB7 since beta 1 on my non-aero tablet PC and, with the release of Beta 2, it worked much better.  But, I started getting Windows Explorer lockups on a frequent basis.  Tried various combinations of apps to see if any set would force or avoide a lockup -- and wasn't able to identify a specific set.  When I was able to open task manager, it would show Windows Explorer at 97% and it was nearly impossible to do anything.  I left the machine in that state for 15 minutes or so, and it never ramped down.

So, as a test, I disabled WB 7, and in the two days since, have not had a single lockup.

Several weeks ago, I participated in another thread about WB 7 beta 2 and was told that I needed to install build 192. But, I have refreshed WB 7 and Impulse on a daily basis since then, and have still not seen any newer build.

So, for now, I'm not using WB 7. I need a working desktop more than I need eye candy, and since I can't get a newer build, I'll have to do without it for a while.

For the time being, couldn't you could uninstall WB7 beta 2,uncheck the "Show Prerelease Versions" in Impulse then reinstall WB6? You may want to start a trouble ticket with support so they are aware of your problem and may be able to help.

Yeah, I understand what you'e saying.  But when I first had problems, I sent an email to support to start a ticket and never received any response.

The system works great without WB running, so for now, my plans are to wait until a new beta is released, or until the final is released.
