Windowblinds 7 not skinning Windows 7

I am having some difficulty with Windowblinds 7 not skinning Windows 7. It is setting the skin to Windows Classic instead of the blind. This is occurring in Beta 2 which I thought worked in Windows 7. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate if that matters. Is there a setting that needs to be activated for this to work or am I missing something from within the app?

Sounds like a bad install. Try uninstalling > reboot > turn off anti-spyware/anti-virus > reinstall > reboot > make sure to turn anti-stuff back on.

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate RC and WindowBlinds beta 2 works fine.  I didn't have to tweak anything to get it to work.

On my Start menu, there are two entries for WindowBlinds under Object Desktop.  Be sure that you launch the one that says (BETA2).  When I installed, clicking the icon launched the Beta 1 version -- which, for me, does not work. Also, I found that the Windows 7 compliant skins tend to work the best.  I've also been able to use skins compliant with Vista & WB6 -- but not all of those work.

If you look through the threads in this forum, you'll find an older post of mine, and in there, are links to some Windows 7 skins.

Good Luck

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit RTM on my primary drive and after installing beta 2 I initially had no issues... out of the blue it has gone south on me. The launch of WB beta causes a shutdown of the program with the cryptic " a problem has caused ..." and the program closes. This has me befuddled because  I have  a RC build 7229 on another drive and it works without a problem. Has anyone else run into this or have I missed a a previous post?

If you have been messing around with the Win 7 theme stuff while windowblinds is applied it could screw up the way windowblinds applies. It happened to me, at least. Make sure the theme is set to windows 7 and not classic or something then re apply your skin and reboot.
