Is there a way to make this annoying little box go bye-bye? I think it is reserved space for the working pulsy thingy, but it never shows up... just this box. Can it be exterminated all together?
I think that's probably hard coded, but is this a window or a browser?
That's where the throbber goes. You can find the images in the WB folder, you can recolor them the same color as the toolbar behind it to make it look better, but you cant make it go away. Deleting them will only make the windows flag show up in it's place. (so I've been told)
The images are: shell_throbber_large.bmp...and shell_throbber_medium.bmp.....and shell_throbber_small.bmp
the windows flag would be fine by me... better than what I've got now! I'll give what you said a shot...
Actually, there's a registry edit called ThrobOff, that gets rid of the throbber altogether. You can find it here: http://toastytech.com/files/throboff.html

you have to restart yr pc for any throbber bit changes too....
