I used Paint Shop Pro XI on XP, Vista and Windows 7 with no problems at all, and just got Paint Shop Pro X2 Ultimate yesterday and installed it, also with no problems (other than learning a couple of new keystrokes for cut and paste), also.  Why would you want to spend money on a version 10 anyway when newer versions are out?  I would recommend buying the latest version.  :P

There ARE some things that were possible in 10 that are not possible with X".

The main one for me being the inability to use multiple instances of X2.

I'm figuring that's a typo...;)

I have both. I prefer to use 7, but 10 has a few features for photographers, such as HDR image merge.

well, the link target indicates the same thing but accessing the links from "my digital life" directs me to a free corel "mediaone" product. either out of date or bait and switch???

a question or so about the paintshop pro photo x2 mentioned. does this program have the same editing features that psp7/10 has, it seems so geared towards photo minipulation that I'm unsure of the features.

are there any third party add-ons for psp7?

Strange, i've verified the link given a few minutes ago (well when posting) and it was the correct link, not a link to the "mediaone" product :(O

EDIT: i confirm the link to get the french Paint Shop Pro X had also been erased

I have PSP 8, and have used it, in conjunction with Photshop 7, on both XP and Vista, and have not had any problems.  My philosophy is why fix something that ain't broke! :sun:

I'm looking for additional features/improvements. some of the tutorials I've looked at seem that the later versions refer to additional controls of the features, not sure, but...

you're lucky you made it under the wire, bummer it is still not available.

I would go with version 10 as well. I bought ver XI also but do not use it as M-203 tried to say , there are some features that 10 has that were taken away in later versions. Can't put my finger on them right now as I have no intention of installing XI again.

that's probably since people found the page again and started posting links to it

It's not actually a free version for everyone

it was a page set up in conjunction with Lexar

If you purchased certain cards from Lexar, PSPX was thrown in - which came with an auto option to upgrade to XI for $59

I think it was from 2007 - google 'corel + lexar'

Hm, downloaded the german one a few days ago.

I went ahead a bought a used PSP-X on amazon for $40us.

side note; there was a psp7 used being sold for $175, wtf, the program originally sold for about $80.

edit: that free one mentioned had a nag purchase screen and some third party reporting add on that would disable psp if removed. the link that was referred to also included registry edits that was suppose to remove both, but worth mentioning.

If Corel has removed the product from download it is evident they do not wish it to be distributed.

Last time I checked [today] there was NO free download link for PSP 10.
