In my neck of the woods
*Police responded to the 4700 block of such and such Road to a complaint that items had been stolen from a campsite. A man and his wife who had left the site for about 1 1/2 hours said that while they were gone a case and a half of beer, two bags of Crunch n' Munch and five cans of Grizzly chewing tobacco were stolen. No one had been spotted near the campsite.
*A man reported to the local county Sheriff's office that his neighbor's boxer had attacked his dog on Saturday, June 27. The man said his pet was taken to the veterinarian for injuries. The following Monday and Tuesday, the boxer returned. On Tuesday the victim reported that he got his .22 caliber rifle and shot at the dog. The boxer's owner then came to the neighbor's house and inquired about his dog. When the man said he shot at the boxer, the neighbor became angry and said "IT IS ON NOW!" Later that night, police reported the boxer's owner returned to the house, and while driving by the residence screamed " I AM GOING TO KILL YOUR (EXPLETIVE) DOG!!!"
*A man reported that he hit a deer at the intersection of Blankity blank road and such and such circle. The deer did not damage the mans car. The man, with the help of the responding officer pulled the deer to the side of the road into a nearby field. The man said he would put the deer down but did not have a firearm on his person. The officer reported that "I put the deer down with one well placed shot from my duty weapon.
