I've done watching cricket. My nerves are shot to pieces.

After getting hammered by Australia for five days, England have somehow conjured up a draw.

Monty Panesar, the second worst batsman in test match history (that Kiwi bowler, Chris Martin, is worse) managed to hang on for 45 minutes! My granny could bat better than Monty...

Although England were crap, it's Australia who are likely to hit rock bottom. It must be the worst 'loss' ever.

As for my nerves - I haven't stopped shaking yet. Another four matches to go... I'm not going to make it...

Ol' punter looks like a pouting but aging schoolboy in all 3 pics... but in the 3rd he looks like he shat himself... probably worried about the reception back home for losing the Ashes.

There's some promises yer should never make, however... too many variables to consider in that one, me thinks.

Punter is still a bloody good batsman...and rarely drops anything in the slips....his ashes record might be theworsteverforanaussiecaptaininthehistoryofthegame but otherwise his win/loss record is one the English can only dream of.

Even this loss has us dropped to 4th .....and still one ahead of the English....;)

Whether he's still around for the next Ashes is yet to be seen... but if he is I'll bet the results will be different...;)

Still, whether I like him or not, Punter is a great cricketer and he handled himself very well during the interviews/speeches after the 5th Test, despite his disappointment.  I commend him for that.

As for the result being different next time around, who knows??  England has some good up and coming young cricketers so it could be a more of a contest than one might expect... well let's hope so... an edge of the seat thriller is more entertaining than watching a shoe-in by a dominant side.

Yup... didn't help tho... as in more of a hinderance than a help.  The counsellor, well she's lesbian and rather partial to naked women herself, so most sessions we are flipping thru the centerfold pages together.
