Problem. Everything. The Tipping point for me.

Seriously. I've tried. I hate to be Mr. Negative. This will probably get deleted or locked or I'll get flamed... but here goes anyway.

Let me illustrate how to have a horrible experience with a crapshoot of a game. And I do not ONLY blame stardock for this... I also blame you bastards of annoying Regulus players.

As of posting this. I've played 46 games online. 22 disconnects. 18 wins. 28 losses. I should be about 18-6... or so... but as you can see disconnects rule all. All disconnects having to do with dropped players and/or just never even getting a game. (Yes, I've opened ports. Yes, I've added the /severproxy)

It's bad enough that...

I constantly get thrown into games 2v1 or games with entire players of AI for losses...

But this game...

http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/game/641053/player/62871/

Oh man is this game the turning point of where I turn this game off for a while and hope to come back one day. I would get a refund instead and just go play DoTA except I don't think I can get a refund.

Anyway. The above game. Coming off a short win streak AND a few games of non-disconnects. Finally thinking things are playable (was I wrong)

First off - Patheon game. Somehow I get matched up vs 3 regulus. That's annoyingly bullcrap... but not horrible if you have human players to strategize with.

But wait. I don't have human players! I have two AI players... who are famously known...

Hintani and Nacer (Played search them) - who combined have played...  I dunno, an inhuman amount of 2000+ games with a discconnect ratio of almost 1:1 who are OBVIOUSLY bots, pointed out in many threads... yet somehow have NOT been blocked yet by Stardock.

I'm obviously screwed... but since I'm in a game with 3 other humans, I decide to *attempt* to play the game out. At least I'll get some Favor points, maybe make a few friends and try to reserve another disconnect since I could just obviously quit.

So I stay. Have a friendly conversation for a short while. Then I notice 10 minutes have gone by and only the AI players are dying. I'm actually a point where I have more kills than deaths (which, as a low level UB with out human coordination shouldn't be possible with 3 regulus) and then it hits me. They are just farming AI's and upgrading their weapons. That's it.

This is the tipping point where I hate this game and the kinds of dumb people who play it. How the hell do you have friendly conversation AND then be pure asswipes, after saying things like "Cool, at least you are staying" and "I know how it feels" then farm gold so you can save for the "Uber" artifact gear. Sure, if you are playing against all 3 AI... why not... but why put ME through the pain of having to wait a full 32 minutes on a Structured Defense map that you, as 3 regulus, could probably win by level 7 vs 3 AI?

The best part. After I verbally said - "Can you guys actually just beat me so I can move onto another game with real teammates" - Silence. Then after 10 minutes... when my side is clearly losing. "... Has upgraded to Hand of God".  Then 5 minutes later, after I die (I'm level 10 vs a level 16 regulus... with 3 fortresses STILL remaining)... "Man... Mage + Ashkandor is pure GG." This coming from a guy who had 14 kills vs 2 AI players....

Seriously? You couldn't have figured that out on your own time vs the computer?

After pointing out how retarded they were for taking their sweet time and how in a reverse position... they would be pissed, I was at least proud that I stayed the duration, actually playing, and doing what I could. Even though I realize I'm the tool for just not quitting... I figured... with all the upgrades I did on the citadel, and my kills, flags, etc... I'd at least get some ok favor points (maybe 60-80) and finally get one of the pricier items.

When I finally lose.... 10 Favor points. Screw. You. Stardock. At least reward me for staying.

The best part.

The next game. I get paired up with the same crappy bot. With the same crappy regulus player... who was an asshat the game before. F.U. I'm done.

/RAGE QUIT - Disconnect number 23.

Anyway. Thanks to a retarded experience, retarded stat tracking system that can't get half of what it's supposed to do correct, inept devs who can't fix major issues with connectivity and basic gameplay mechanics, AND can't put the banhammer on obvious bots out to ruin gameplay experiences, and to YOU... the retarded community that I've heard so much is 10x better than the DoTA community... which I've yet to see since most of the games I have there is no communication... and then the dumb people who milk easy wins just to have penial gratisfaction.

I've never had a worse overall gameplay experience. This coming from someone who bought Demigod the day it came out... and then waited 2-3 months after release to finally upgrade his PC so he could play without lag issues... hoping that when he started he'd have a smooth experience. Yes - 3 months later... and THIS is my experience.

Yes. Worst experience ever. And this is coming from someone who played SOCOM: CONFRONTATION for the PS3... which was the reigning champ for worst experiences ever.

It's sad because Demigod, without all the frustration, is a decent, if shallow game. It makes sense that the first Pantheon game had 4000+ players on each side, and the most recent one only has 1000+ on each so far. That's a 3/4th of amount of people who obviously quit this game. Eventually that number will drop.

Toodles. I'll pop back in 6 months when MAYBE some stuff has changed. New patch with "Concede" does not fix the fact that I've had better online experiences with games that came out 10 eyears ago (starcraft anyone?).

Regulus on Zikurat in pantheon is always a joke. I've never lost as regulus and i've only beat regulus' with downs.

I think the lesson learned here is don't play Pantheon.  Custom games are much better, and you don't have to deal with the bs of Pantheon.  Give them a few months to fix Pantheon and try again.

As already stated, the obvious solution to your problem is not to play Pantheon.  Stardock has already confirmed that it is a major issue that needs top priority in fixing.  Some other points, though:

1) From what I can tell, Pantheon bots such as Nacer and Hintani are supposed to be there to fill in spots if the Pantheon matchmaker isn't getting the job done.  They are even labelled as AI in the tab stats.  Although I would agree that filler bots need to go, altogether, it's not actually a matter of banning them like any human player.

2) Those Regulus players were indeed dicks who were blinded by their desire to get expensive artifacts rather than quickly finishing a match they were guaranteed to win, anyway.  Personally, if I see that my opponent is crippled by AI on his team, I have the courtesy to finish the match as quickly as possible, usually by teching up creep, as a way to thank the human opponent for not leaving, although I do hope many others do this, as well.  If you want to avoid Regulus players altogether, though, that's even more reason to avoid the Pantheon, as it seems like there are far more Reguluses than any other Forces of Light demigods.

3) Although I personally don't care much for favor points, I can understand how you are annoyed by how little losers are rewarded for making it through the whole match.  Perhaps besides "Winner" and "Participant", all of the other awards should be given to a player from each team, rather than only one player out of the entire match.
