Autoattack and switching targets

After reading how the exp and gold actually work, I started to "tag" creeps, (hit them once, then switch to next, hit it once, then switch to next.), when I discovered this bug (mostly playing oak, but seems to be on other demigods also):

If you chance the target you are attacking, the attack animation chances immediatelly to attack the next target, but ___the first attack does no damage___. Only the second attack on the same target deals damage.

It is possible to get the first attack to deal damage, but you need to time it perfectly: JUST when you land a blow to a creep, at that same microsecond you need to chance the target of your next hit. If you chance your target even a fraction of a second late, the demigod will do the attack animation, but the blow will deal no damage, and you just missed the time needed to attack once.

Highly annoying bug, making it almost impossible to "tag" creeps with demigods that have no AOE damage.

I do not know the numbers on this, but wouldn't it be just as good or better to just stick with 1 creep (default if you just let your char chose), thus having a higher chance to get a creep kill, which is more gold. Assassin types that do not have AOE usually have pretty good auto attack damage and therefor a higher chance of getting the finishing blow.

The finishing blow is not important (unless you are far away and using heavens wrath). If you manage to do 25% of unit HP in damage, you will get the kill gold. The killing blow matters not. So it IS better to tag every creep, than to kill half of the creeps.

And this bug really hurts the tagging process.

Thanks for that info :) Playing other games makes you assume certain mechanical things, but this is ofcourse a different game.

I have to say AOE DGs give me lots more gold than certain others that have to pummel each one seperatly. I do not receive any pleasure out of hitting each creep seperatly so I won't, but it does hurt my levelling process.
