Where can I get the updates?

I don't use the internet on my computer

So I thought to myself, "I know! I'll update Sins of a Solar Empire to whatever patch they've created." I couldn't find the update, so I cruised around the forums looking for clues. I get the feeling that if you don't have the game installed on the computer using the internet, you can't get the update.

Question: Is there a way to retrieve the update, move the update to my computer that doesn't use the internet, and install the update?

Here's what you need to do:

  1. Find a computer with an internet connection
  2. Go to http://anywhere.impulsedriven.com/
  3. Login
  4. Download impulse
  5. Download the installer file
  6. Download the data file
  7. Copy all that to some media you can take to the offline computer
  8. Install Impulse on the offline computer
  9. Run the installer file on the offline computer
  10. Play game  :)
