Pantheon: Game loads forever!

A player leaves the game and the rest of us can't start the match at all.

I thought I'd report this error I'm having. I don't know how many other folks get it and I'm hoping someone here may have a solution? Or at least say whether or not this is common to Pantheon matches:

 

I click Fight! and get 3 other players to connect just fine in a pantheon... but then at the map load screen you hear "Aplayer has left the game" and you load indefinitely... and I mean for ages! The load never seems to end!

Once I decided to start timing it and I gave up at 7 minutes.

Does that load screen have [no text] on it? If so, try deleting your Game.prefs file from My Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Demigod.

It's the game load screen where the map is shown, the type of match (dominate, conquest etc) appears and the blinking symbol of light or darkness is shown.

It is the normal load screen you see everytime you are about to begin a map match. No errors.

Yeah I get that a lot, too. Thus, I don't even bother with Pantheon anymore.

I also had this problem with pantheon last night. After about 8 minutes at the loading screen it finally progressed, but then everyone else had dropped.
