Windowblinds 7 beta won't update

I too received the same error with the WindowBlinds update in Impulse. Yet another snafu for Stardock and Impulse. It finds updates although this is a version change and shouldn't be called an update. I really don't understand  the logic behind development and release of their products. There is always a problem anytime they change a program for the better? Last month it was MyColors and now this. Sort of makes you wonder about the skill level of the people they employ.

It is a beta release for community testing. If you can't handle being a tester then don't do it.

I have Objectdesktop too but can't also update it say reg no. not valid

Also have OD paid for and installed, but no WindowBlinds is available for me either.  Also, in Impulse I get msg 'update available' but when I click on it (?) (don't have) I get 'wrong serial number'.  In this day and time, it is very confusing....

I can't even see the win7 option on impulse. It did once but disappeared on my last reboot.

Your ObjectDesktoo subscription needs to be current.  If it is and you don't see Win 7 in Impulse, click on the Impulse Icon in the upper left hand corner of Impulse and make sure that you have you have 'Show pre-release versions' marked.  If that doesn't work under Preferences click on reset data.

If all that fails then you need to email [email protected].

i have buyd windownlinds 6 with serial, i heard that the windowblinds 7 is free  for update, my impulse sed my serial is not recognizated and i cont update, why sayd that?, is an bug? or i must to buy a nother licence for windowblinds, update is not free for all?

the betas are for object desktop subscribers

Try right clicking on your WB7 in Impulse My Software Tab. Then select "Verify Installation". Should cause an update to happen if you're entitled to one.
