Can't start demigod :(

I've been playing Demigod just fine until today when I try to play it gives me this.

EDIT: Nevermind, using what code knowledge I know, I figured it to be some sort of sound problem, sure enough, with a sound driver update fixed the problem. No worries here.

Just out of curiosty, how were you able to figure out it was a sound issue from that wall of text?

I Bolded the main parts. The 100 lines of log really don't play much in part. Anyways. Where it says getDriverCaps, that has to deal with drivers, then speakermode I figured it's trying to call how to play sounds, then the later part says that it failed to play those sounds as how on a computer the only output devices you really have is your speakers.

 

Basically what farmanimal's problem is, is that the game seems to be having problems reading memory. Nothing is wrong with your brothers memory, its just the game can't read it right now. All I can suggest is that because its a 0xc0000005 error, cleaning registry keys *might* fix the problem.The following link is to get a program calles regcure.

The free version will only repair two areas, Font Entries and File associations, so scan those two areas and do the repair and restart your computer and see if that works. If it doesn't you've got two choices. Pay 40 bucks and do a full scan and repair with a full scan and hope that works, or sit tight and hope Demigod gets a patch that'll fix the problem.
