A Player To Avoid

Just thought I would stop you guys suffering the same misery as I did:
Player Name: Dielan

Reason: Asked him if he had penitence. He said no, I asked why, he replied, "I cannot bear this asshole - cya guys" and did an awesome rage quit :D

you realise that nicks can be changed?

Another thing i find curious is why teammates feel the need to tell other players how to play the game. So the guy did not have penitence, so what?

Regradless of that perhaps he should have everyone plays their own way, folks need to be reminded that this is a game and not everyone plays to the same logic as everyone else.

He prolly thought, great another guy who is going to tell me how to play....

well one person can lose the game for an entire team because they lack fundamental knowledge of how the game works.

Yep

Some players do think they are gaming gods and know how everyone should play.

Sometimes you have to bite your lip and try to work in with your teammates. Although a lot of rage quiters don't.

Dalzk just asked him why.

maybe he could have answered with something like "cuz im playing a Raise Dead build and i don't use Penitence. maybe i'll get rank 1 for interrupts but thats it."

and that would be totally fine.

no reason to rage quit like a jerk because your team-mate was interested in what your build was.

well then just play a passwd entry game with your expert friends 516

people in the open community are free to play the game anyway they want

Yeah....fair enough, reasonable point.

All part of the game. Some players are just casual gamers, deal with the loss and move on. Ya don't have to win every game.

Yeah you should at least be able to say WHY you're getting something, or not getting something.

If your first response to your build being questioned is rage quit, you simply suck.

This is just MY OPINION

Just because a guy rage quits, doesn't mean you should go on the forums and warn people that they shouldn't play with the player. Seems kind of harsh and mean to me, but maybe not.

And you said the misery you went through...misery when a guy quits and is replaced by an AI? that's not so bad, I can think of much worse things that could be considered "misery"

I feel that it is unnescasary to bring this to the forums. I fail to see why we are avoiding such a person when we know so very little about the situation. There are no chatlogs present, and no real indication as to whether or not this person had rage-quit, or if they simply disconnected before getting the chance to answer. This is the sort of stuff that results in bad communities.

Well, kicking them without saying anything if you see them is in poor taste.  However, going "I saw a screenshot on the forums where you rage quit.  Was it true?" and waiting for an explanation; I don't see anything wrong with that.

Most likely the person will immediately leave the game or start mouthing off to you.  That's when you know it's true.  But perhaps it's not and they will explain as such.

Eh, I guess, but I wouldn't kick someone for rage quitting one game anyway..only if I saw it for myself and he did it multiple times, and was a complete jerk, this just ruins his reputation and makes him have a worse gaming experience
