Semi-invisible anomalies

Yes, I have the latest video driver. First TA game. Some of the anomalies don't show up with a symbol on the main map even if you scroll out the main map enormously. There is wording for the anomalie if you scroll over it.

The anomalie does show up in the mini-map.

Is this a bug or a feature?

I saw this not long ago. I think it stayed that way for the rest of that game. Never saw it again though.
