Hi,
i bought object desktop ultimate over a year ago. Now i wanted to reinstall window blinds, but it says its expired. I cant believe it, i bought the whole suite and now i have to pay again to get window blinds running? Can this be true????????
ObjectDesktop is a subscription. If you bought it over a yar ago you need to resubscribe to get updates.
If you email support they may be able to send you the last update you were entitled to.
Make sure to back up all your other apps.
Damn it. I was wondering about this too when I just bought OD ULT. I was unsure. (rather they did not make it clear at the order screen)This sucks. You never own anything anymore. You just rent. Will it still work after 1 year or does it shut down 100%?
isxaari after your subscription expires you can still use all the programs, what you won't receive are any further updates.

You own what you purchased. What you get with your purchase is one year of any updates to the included OD ULT programs. There is an archive feature built-in Impulse which allows you to backup your Stardock programs and restore them whenever you wish.
None of the Object Desktop programs you purchased will shut down after your 1 year expires even if you don't re-subscribe. They all will work.
If someone fails to archive (backup) their programs then their only option would be to make a request to Stardock support for the last version they were entitled to.
