Activation, LAN, and Ironclad oh my!

My problem started a week ago. I found I was not able to to host a game, a box opened up every time saying "Disconnected from game server". Shortly after that I tried to log in to Ironclad and that didn't work. I went on to impules and re-registered my game and it wanted me to activate my game, I hit re-activate and it gave me this, bare in mind I have tried a few times since then.

From my understanding, you're allowed to download and update SINS twice per cd key, but can only log on to Ironclad once per cd key.  Downloading and updating more than twice or logging into Ironclad more than once could flag your key and void it...

 

So which of those two did you do?  I'm curious myself because I have two friends that I'd like to do a LAN party with, but am afraid to patch the game two more times on two other computers for fear that what happened to you would happen to me!

I belive I have fixed the problem. I have a hard copy(a copy I bought from the store) and uninstalled then reinstalled the whole thing. it started up, so now I am getting all the updates and seeing if it still works.
