I dont know if this is right but:

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 with shared graphics memory

I think problem is this. Your graphics card is not capable to run the game. Minimum cards are:

  • 128 MB 3D Video Card (ATI Radeon X1600 / Nvidia GeForce 6800 or better)*

    do you have any suggestions one a good/cheap graphics card for my laptop that can run this game?

    GeForce 8600 or 9600 do the trick but changing notebooks graphics adapter is very difficult and impossible if you didn't build your notebook.
