Game goes into slow motion ;<

so when im playing demigod on and offline the game tends to have moments where it all goes into slow motion.. my ping online is usually 100-150.. and my sims is usually 5+.. but every few seconds it seems everything slows down. anyone know what could be causing this or a way to fix it?

Usually it's caused by somebody having too slow of an upload speed.
