Here in the Tampa Bay area John we really need all the rain we can get for a prolonged period.  But, like you, I think the dreary dark skies get depressing.  Maybe it could just rain every other day.

There's an idea for a theme....Gray, depressing, "Rainy Day".  ;P ....maybe "Rainios"

It's not just the lack of sun or all the rain that's getting to me.  It's the thunder storms and wind that goes along with it.  The hurricanes of 2004 did a number on my head, and now anytime the wind gets high or there is thunder and pelting rain, I just expect the roof to collapse and the house to totally fall apart.

It's just stopped here (UK) after three weeks. Forecast for the weekend looks sunny and warm :sun:

I feel for you, John.  I live in central Florida's West coast..today is the 8th straight day of rain at my house....and we are not expecting it to stop for another week...ugh!  But, the bright side of all of this rain is that my flowers have loved it!  Everything in my garden is blooming now:  gardenias, sunflowers, mums, begonias, vinca, trumpet flowers...and my pride and joy:  My Plumeria Trees!  On a serious note...we really needed this rain....we have been in a severe draught with severe watering restrictions.  |-)

Although I personally don't suffer from it....our County's (Volusia) going to get some emergency funds to help with all the flooding..........the wife and I went to JAX Monday for a Memorial day observance and the drive up thru Daytona/Flagler/St. Augustine was an eye opener.

The bad part is.......we're just starting our rainy season..........flooding in September from hurricanes and such will usually go away pretty fast because that's the END of the rainy season.

We got almost 10' more yesterday and massive t-storms, can barely navigate my driveway... supposed to rain everyday this week.  :-|

We have gotten a considerable amount of rain here in Indiana. That doesn't bother me as much as the flooding does. It seems anytime we get a good amount of rain, the area floods. It didn't use to be that way. I wonder what has changed.

A fellow Hoosier!  Me too, although I am a transplant from Michigan.  ^_^

Yep, a lot of rain here too, but definitely not as much as Florida.

It's been raining so much, for so long, I'm beginning to feel like a duck...quack, quack.

At least it's supposed to start drying out this weekend. Maybe I can get the grass cut sometime soon.

Melbourne's water storage is down to 26.5% of capacity.... lowest on record.

It's still illegal to water your lawns or wash your car.

This week we had the highest minimum overnight for May .... 18c

The energy released on 'Black Saturday's fires...when 187 people died was the equivalent of 1,500 times the yield of the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima.

...and that day was the hottest on record for Melbourne....46.2 c

Nah, there's no such thing as 'global warming'.....just a bunch of bullshit artists without a clue....;p
