Standalone patch available?

I currently have a very hard time patching whenever a new patch comes out (which I'm thankful is quite often - don't get me wrong).  What happens is Impulse sits on "preparing download" forever.  I've tried two approaches, just let it sit there for however long it takes (overnight didn't work) or just keep cancel/restarting the download.  It seems that the cancel/retry method will eventually get through and start downloading, but it often takes upwards of 50+ tries.

Is this just due to a large volume of people also trying to get the patch?  I've never had issues downloading any updates for Sins/Entrenchment.

can't say I know what the problem is--I've not experienced what you describe.  But don't ever expect a standalone patch.  SD considers patches a service and requires impulse to partake of that service so that it is harder for the pirates to partake.

I would recommend emailing [email protected] so they can help you figure it out. I don't think it's the high volume, though Impulse did have issues like that in its early days. It is possible, though. Have you also tried disabling your security apps temporarily? There's a chance either firewalls or AVs are trying to interfere also.

It's weird though that only Demigod is affected? The first thing you could try is make a complete, clean reinstall. I too would recommend to contact Stardock support, if the problem persists.

If that happens try this from within Impulse:

-Click the Impulse Logo in the upper left
-Choose 'Preferences...'
-Click the 'Reset Data' button
-Close impulse and relaunch it. You may notice a long update time, which is normal as it is rebuilding the deleted info.

If this does not resolve the issue, I would suggest uninstalling Impulse, rebooting your PC, and then reinstalling from the latest installer build here:
