If not, not so much.

If you can get priests then get currency.  Get that first!

Not even if you push with them. Yea you can take a few towers down a bit earlier on, but when they are 3 levels ahead of you with more gold then can easily comeback and rape you.

Rarely will you find getting priests at rank 3 doing you any good...at least 99% of the time.

If you stay with the creep wave you get mass heals from the priest, which is a huge advantage when fighting the enemy DGs.  Regulus infinishooting towers means they MUST respond, and if priests are there, you have a large advantage in the fights, which if you win = mass monies.

I love it when my opponents buy priests early on. It wins me games.

Even for healing, the priests are barely any good if you've stacked health. If not, you can survive an extra hit or maybe two. The heals are too weak and don't come often enough to really change the outcome of a battle.

 

Priests are ok to get I think, Angels however, and Cats/Giants too early can be just food though but I usually find that priests help out to help push a enemy base.

Its a case by case basis though depending on how any such match goes though.

its usually true that early priests isnt helpful, but there are exceptions. Dominate maps for example. a priest push can knock down towers on the border of crucial flags. if you've got towers near the flag and your opponents don't it will be almost impossible for them to prevent you from holding it. 

I buy priests early on. It wins me many games

Depends on how you use them. If you follow your creeps around they can a big plus.

Otherwise forget it.

No! bad priests. BAD!

Buy Currency then first XP maybe some armor but not priests.
