Cannot submit news

"There has been an error"

from WinCustomize Forums

I'm trying to submit some news and i'm getting an error every time.

The error is unspecified "there has been an error - please try again"

That's very frustrating, i tried few times and cannot see any reason why it doesn't work.

Anyway i know the site is very buggy recently...

It must be another bug (there's a whole pandora's box full of them) :)

Can anyone help please?

Into what forum are you trying to submit news (or from what URL)?  Not everyone has teh access to post news.

Thanks for the super fast reply.

I'm trying to sobmit WC News and it's mentioned that it'll need to be moderated(for my level) before it'll appear.

So, i understand it's not blocked, just needs to be moderated(as most submitions)

I'm clicking on the "submit news" link on the front page and it has one option "WC news"

Never submitted news before...

Anyway, as i submit, it' gives the unspecified error and says "please try again" - i'm trying ... ;).

I will look into it, but I believe we did block it for access levels lower than Master.  If you have news you want to be considered, just e-mail or PM it to me.  :)

Ok, i gave up  :annoyed:

I guess if Zubaz and ID couldn't help, than no one can.

By the way, for the record - that's what is written after one clicks on the "submit news" button:

"All news items submitted by Citizens, Apprentices or Master Apprentices must be approved by a moderator before appearing on the front page of WinCustomize.com.  Users with an access level of four (Journeyman) or higher may post with out moderation."

So, if that's right, my post should be under moderation but that cannot be true because it is blocked as ID mentioned above (that's the error i'm talking about)

So, please guys, make it clear that citizens cannot even try to post news, it's humiliating to try time after time and getting an unexplained error.
