Preserving versions

Firstly like to say that Sins is a fantastic game and a breath of fresh compared to most other games that are being released.

I have both the basic game and entrenchment and am currently playing SOA 2 (excellent Mod) which obviously works on the vanilla version. With the upcoming expansion is there a way to preserve the current version through impulse and have the new version as well?

Just make a copy of your current folder before you update. Though Entrenchment allows you to launch the latest version of vanilla Sins so if SOA2 works on 1.16 then you'll still be able to play it after installing the expansion.

Thanks Annatar11, so does that mean even when 1.17 is released for vanilla skins it will still work?

Depends on the changes for 1.17. The mod itself may need to be updated. But if you make a copy of your current 1.16 folder, if the mod doesn't work with 1.17 you should still be able to launch 1.16 from the copied folder.
