The fps.....

Why?

With this looking like a really fun game to play, I'm sitting on 4gigs of memory and an Nvidia Geforce 8600. I should be able to run this game without difficulties. Minimum requirements "128 MB 3D Video Card (ATI Radeon X1600 / Nvidia GeForce 6800 or better)* " as well as "512 MB Available System Memory". I surpass that by a whole lot. I've turned everything on low graphic wise and audio wise but still get about 10 fps. Thats unplayable, I think that the graphics need a downgrade so it's playable because 8800s+ aren't exactly cheap right now by any standards. Am I doing something wrong or are any of you all expierencing something similar if not the same thing I am?

Some issues like you are describing are caused by an audio conflict.  The developers are aware of the issue and are working on a solution for it.

There are a few things you could try that have worked for many people:

First, make sure your audio drivers are completely up to date.
Second, go to the audio settings in the game and turn off the Reverb option.
Third, go to the Windows Control Panel and open your audio/sound settings and change the configuration to 'Stereo'.
Lastly, if none of the other options helped, make a shortcut to Demigod on your desktop and open it's properties.  At the end of the 'Target' line add a space and "/nosound" (without the quotes).  This will load the game with all sound rendering turned off(playing the game without sound really isn't as fun, but it will make the game playable until the issue is resolved).

Definitely check the sound issue first, my 8800 was stuttering along before changing from quad channel to stereo sound. Also, what processor is your machine running?

8800's aren't exactly new tech either. You can get 9800's at newegg.com for under $100, which is cheap for a card intended for gaming.

Yea i'm just like you /nosound option doesn't work for me

My PC is E4500 - 2.20GHz 3GB of RAM and X850XTPE video with 256 MB of Vram an 256bit interface and in the first 10-15 min of the game i'm having 14-16 fps but in the 16-20 min is about 1-2 fps ???

i forget - on high Video options or on Low there absolutely no change.

An ATI X850 isn't a card that supports Pixel Shaders v3, so the game will not be working correctly on that card.
