Tell me what is actually wrong with my idea. Other than the fact that it isn't fully developed everything is balanced and it's a fresh idea to be brought to the table. Anyways I like the idea of a DG that controls mechanical minions that have to be recharged. But I think a pistol is a little too futuristic for the game. Maybe some other long range weapon? The teleporter is also cool, but I think it could become OP very easily. There should be certain places where you can't put it.

You should think of some more skills that allow him to cause damage without his minions.

In terms of the pistol being too futuristic I can see where you are coming from. Although Regulus does toss landmines.

What is a good idea for an alternate futuristic weapon?

As part of balancing maybe you should only be able to place it in the vicinity of a flag you control. (Although I did try to balance it in terms of it running out of power and the fact that when you use the teleporter you come out stunned on the other side. Plus it requires some gold to build.)

I dont feel that this unit should have any real damage skills. It should be played as more of a support role. The shock rod allows for some damage and reduced movement speed plus restores a little mana so he can recharge his devices which i feel is good synergy. If you make the DG a jack of all trades you risk making him OP.

Yeah, Regulus' mines and crossbow are kind of borderline when it comes to being too furistic. How about a rifle that fires magical energy instead of bullets? It wouldn't really look like a gun, it would have a more fantasy based design.

I see what you're saying about the support role. Perhaps the Shock Rod could have AoE damage as well?
