Sins does not have DRM. You do not need a CD key to install or play. To patch the game, use Impulse which requires that you use the CD key. The CD key should be on the back of the game manuel.
Also, when yoo install it, the CD key should also appear under Impulse. Under My Games there is a registration button. Click on it and it shows your CD key. I hope this helps.
