Demigod mod for Sins of a Solar Empire! (Yes it's true...)!

Heya all,

ShadowMastiff2468 is back ;)

 

Just to tell you I'll be updating this thread with the Demigod SoaSE mod which will add EVEN MORE tactical challenges than the current 3 Dome modes.

The mechanics are possible and I have schematics of whwta I want to create so making the mod shouldn't be long (all depends on the question stated below).

 

Question is: HOW DO I CREATE A NEW RESEARCH TAB???

You know in entrenchment we have Combat, Civilian, Logistics +++++++ the last one Defense! How do I add that new tab in vanilla sins!!! (Since DOME is vanilla sins!)

I am not sure but isn't that hardcoded or you could try looking into the each of the player files where it says research screendata

I took phase as an example but I am pretty sure it more or less the same formatting in Entrenchment, look in the forge file or the game files

PS: if ever worst comes to worst and its hardcoded..I'll just destroy the logistics tab since demigod doesnt use it and replace it with custom techs :)

Open, but skeptical

 

So far though, I am not thinking I like this idea. Demigod doesn't have alot of tactics or depth. That is, compared to a full on RTS like Homeworld.

 

By some random idea, are you sugesting that we narrow the game to focus on one Capitol ship?
