Oak vs Sedna?

I like both and want to play one exclusively to learn the ins and outs. Which one has better survival and is more beneficial to the group? And which can tank better mid to late game? Thanks...

I dont see many people playing sedna but a good 1 can be very beneficial to the team. As for Oak, during late game (with the right build) he usually just demolishes everything as to where sedna becomes extremely difficult to kill. So i would choose sedna for helping team and oak for kills. Both are very flexible in strategies though.

The game is not really that complicated, so there is not much of an excuse for only playing one character. I would suggest getting to know all the characters as each one has its own strengths and weaknesses.

I play and like Sedna because she can heal...teehee...but Oak is awesomeness incarnate. :cylon:

Offense (Oak) vs Defense (Sedna).

I say Sedna is more unpredictable than Oak.

Against Oak, everyone know he has some damage output, hence are a bit more careful.

Against Sedna, most thought she just heal, so they losen their guard... then became a victim.

As that quote goes "you can trust a liar(attacker) always be a liar(attacker), but you don't know when an honest person(healer) will tell a lie(attack)", or something along the line.

That pounce is game changing when used at the right time. Sedna can also bluff her mana, as enemy retreat thinking you still can heal yourself when you are at 0 mana.

I personally choose Sedna because she can heal and with right building up, she become almost inpenetrable  in late game

I have played Sedna, but I'm on deciding what  gear to get in the beginning. And in early game how would you guys deal with a UB at lvl 5 or 6. I tried to conserve my mana on healing but the poison and beast's speed is jsut too fast for me.

You should be moving about the same speed as him, if you get the speed + regen branch of skills.

Honestly, level 6 you need to just play it smart against the beast.  If he spits on you, silence, and then heal (so he can't grasp you too).  As long as you can avoid the burst damage, you should be able to outlast him.  Buying some priests helps a LOT.

I play catlady almost exclusive.  I play oak too.  If you choose Sedna (I'd suggest only choosing her with a 3 or more group) to help the group, and you see your front line guys turn out to be new players, taking a healing/buffing path won't help much; you'll just keep them alive a bit longer while they run into enemy towers and take on 3 DGs while at 10% health.  But nothing is more fun than sitting in back, healing and silcencing a decet ally, only to jump in with my maxed pounce for the kill.  Yes gentlemen, the lady DOES have claws. . .

When I play Oak, I only use Penatence on a DG; killing minions first helps keep me and allies healing a bit on health/mana.
