Torch Bearer underestimated

Strategi for Torch Bearer

It seems to me, that the Torch Bearer is often misjudged for a lesser DG and often Beast's spit is compared with the fireball making the TB look obsolete. But what people are forgetting is that you don't choose either fire or ice. The best build is to choose the best from both. TB can change from ice into fire in a matter of a second on the battlefield and open up 3 ready skills. Imagine an attack from a TB where he attacks you with a hail of ice (up to 800 dmg), followed by a freeze (freezes you for up to 3 seconds). He then morphes into fire and uses Fire Nova (up to 800 as well) and finished you off with a fireball (1050 dmg)

Thats 800 dmg + 3 sec stun + 800 dmg + 1050 dmg = 2650 dmg in very little time while you are frozen most of the time.

Any thougts on this?

I do pure ice builds, love being able to push our grunts abit and the slow helps with living alot longer. As well it helps us kill the other team when they try run away. Maelstrom follow by the Ice stun normaly will equal death if their really low on life and a team mate is next to me.

I play always as TB.
I go for only ice blizzard and shatter, so at lvl3 i dont learn new ability, on lvl4 both shatter and blizzard, on lvl5 1 rank of frostnova, lvl6 also skip. lvl7 +1on blizzard and shatter. lvl8 lvl9 are skip. lvl10 +1blizzard and shatter and +1fireball, after that go for fireball, but doesnt worth the use of it until its not lvl3. on lvl15 you can have both the frostfire to improve shatter and fireball, also you can have the blizzard additional forst effect.

until 15th lvl you just blizzard, frostnova, shatter, and run as fast as you can. mana potion, and go back. this is a very high spike damage, also drains your mana almost empty

on 15th lvl you start with fireball for 1350, go for frost, cast blizzard first then frostnova while the ice is falling. they hit in the same time blizzard hit aroud 800, insantly x3 shatter for 1275 , go to fire, and fire ball for another 1350.

in this cycle the changeing is the longest, you have to spend only bout 3 sec as frost.

rest 5 lvl is doesnt matter, as you may spend points as you like.

for this i use staff of renewal, and it is good if you have -15% CD flag.

in the begining a cheap boot. +1hp and mana potion
stack for HP and armor. and always have mana potions, its worth it.
Later the frost requires many many mana, so you have to stack it, also the crown with -25% mana cost is very very handy.

I hope i could help some fellow TB fan :)
