Demigod Appreciation Thread

Thank you stardock and GPG for creating a game I haven't put on the shelf and forgot after a few play throughs.

The single player game is a great primer (and challenging enough at higher levels to maintain my interest) for multiplayer.

The multiplayer comes in short bursts of entertainment that is perfectly suited for someone who doesn't want to spend hours playing a game.

A stumbled release might have persuaded some developers to jump ship and cut their losses, but if your continued improvement of Demigod's persists, and you bring this product to meet expectaions and to a point where you're satisfied, it will be a profound statement of your buisness ethics and support of what you produce. And that's a company I'm more than happy to financially support for future releases.

I agree.  I think that Stardock is going to be the next big gaming company, and Demigod can be a part of that! I love this game! As usual there are some kinks that need some work, but none of them are actually preventing me from playing, so hey.  I can't wait for it to be at 100% once the remaining bugs are fixed.

:inlove:

Well, um, I like the game but I've put it on the shelf...but that's because the DVD isn't required to play the game.   I don't mind the single player game, but it has to be played in hard mode just to be slighly mindful, because the overall AI is poor/weak in normal and easy modes.

But, to the point I still love this game...it's beautiful, the sounds (audio) are spectacular, and the overall gameplay is very enjoyable and doesn't get stale (unlike other games that are like ..."oh, I played 8hrs, what's new?").

Only managed a few games on Skirmish but I have to say I REALLY like this game. Hats off to Stardock and GPG.

Yes the AI can be a little frustrating (like my ally walks the other way when i'm getting pummelled), and occassionally my rook gets stuck behind an obstacle and dances around like it's being electrocuted, but hey, that's what adds to the randomness of each game and gives a greater satisfaction when nailing that citadel at the end.

Great job, visuals and audio is awesome, it's real easy to pick up and get going, and there's enough variation even in single player to keep me busy for a good while. I hope to see more maps added over time and maybe some random events or penalties that add more unknowns into the outcome.

Really wishing I didn't have to work today....

There's few games that I've lost sleep over because I can't get them off my mind.

So far: Demigod, Supreme Commander, Nox and Eve

The fact that Demigod is SO easy to pick up had REALLY helped me get a lot of people I know to play. I personally don't have fun with ANY video game that my friends dont play with me. Playing against faceless usernames is only fun for a game or two. If I'm playing with someone I know against said faceless people, it's a lot more fun.

Thank you GPG/Stardock for giving me a game that I can coerce my friends into playing very easily :D

(You wouldnt beleive how hard it is to get them to play SupCom)

Yeah this game is awesome. Love the stratgic options and different playstyles of all the different chars. Seems fairly balanced so far too.

I havn't been this obsessed about a game for some time. Will take ages for me to get bored of this one. I will definatly support stardock in the future.
