Placing mines sucked. Sucked hardcore. He was completly un-fun back then.

Quoting Harkonis, reply 23
I don't find his snipe overpowered at all, but the mines I certainly can't stand.  Having them thrown at point blank like grenades and kill me and all my minions in one shot is kinda BS.  They should have a longer arm period once thrown to allow me to move so they are more of a defensive weapon imo.
End of Harkonis's quote

I've yet to one shot minions or DG with mines. It can actually get pretty irritating to face QoT with all minions, throw mines at her, QoT shrugs and casts shield again, no minions dead. And with mines having somewhat limited range, I have to get into QoT's and her minions range everytime I want to AoE them more. Usually by the time I've killed all the minions (ok, few throws will do it) QoT just resummons everybody. Both lost some mana, no progress made :D

I don't see it being different for other generals either. I just haven't seen other generals played with minions as often. Sedna would prolly just have it even easier with her healing aura. And Oak has that AoE damage/heal. I imagine Erebus could mist them, but that's bit mana intensive just for healing.

Regulus is not over powered. Here are a few ways to exploit regulus that I have found.

1.Regulus has relatively low base movement speed, and if people do not get move+ items it is an easy way to close distance fast. Once you are at him make sure you have a slowing ability or a stun and wam bam thank you mam. Dead sniper.

2. His sniping ability takes time to use, so if you are low on HP running back to your base always carry lvl 1 healing pots on you. Use immediately when you are clear to give yourself that boost of HP. Doing this will save your life and make his snipe rather useless when used in this capacity.

3. From my experience his mines are not that great, so he really is a 1 trick pony compaired to other demigods. Late game if farmed he can own, but so can any other hero. IMHO the best counter to him in Unclean beast, who can close the distance fast and has DOTS which eat at his already low HP.

Give it some time before we start shouting Z O M G nerf! I feel that the game is really really balanced for just starting. The only thing I see that needs a bit of a nerf is Vampire lords bite... if it had a longer cooldown it would be perfect, as it stands its almost spamable.

1.Regulus has relatively low base movement speed
End of quote

UB and Erebus have a base movespeed of 6.3.  The Rook has base movespeed of 5-point-something.  All others, including Regulus, have a base movespeed of 6.0.  He's "normal" speed.

Hmm I see, you are most likely correct, however my point still stands that getting higher move speed then him should be a top priority, as well as using gloves that proc move speed debuff. All of this can make sure that you make him cry like a little girl!
