Not able to log in to multiplayer

Just getting an invalid username/password.

 

I'm using the same info as my impulse account. What gives?

Demigod isn't associated with your account for some reason.  Did you order it under a different email address by chance?

yes I did.

 

my order number is VXJN3D29FDC7-0403091232

 

that has the email address I use now, which I obviously used to order from.

 

My impulse account is associated with an old hotmail address.

 

How can I rectify this? I registered the game using my 'hotmail' username.

I'm having a similar problem. I purchased the game box copy (sorry bought it from Gamestop before knowing it was early).

I can launch it into singleplayer just fine from Impulse; trying Instant Action matches or going to Internet games, I use the same login I use for Sins, this forum, etc....says invalid username/password.

 

I originally figured it was because launch wasn't until tomorrow but I'm seeing these posts for games......

Load up Impulse, go to the games tab press the "register product" button and enter in your serial # and such.

I already registered it in impulse. When I verify the registration it just gives me the serial I used to register it.

Slightly different issue - Demigod (in game) is telling me that an update is available and required to play online.  It exits back to Impulse but i do not see an update available.

Demigod was also telling me that I had an invalid username/password, even though it logged in fine less then an hour beforehand. After using the "register product" button it started working again. Not sure how that happened, but it worked.

i get this same problem, can someone from stardock explain if this update is either not available till 14th, or.. are we just plain dumb and can't see an update button where clearly there must be one someplace.

ok I made a new impulse account, registered to the email I used to buy the game with.

 

This time I was able to log into multiplayer.

 

First attempt to log in I got the "there is a patch required to play online... blah blah"

 

I clicked ok, it checked for an update and there was none, so I clicked the 'instant game' thingy again.

 

This time it just chunked a little bit, but I got to the point where I could select a demigod and push the button.

 

Adter button pushing everything seems to blow up with games either requiring a password when they don't indicate they require one, or simply 'failed to join game', or both.

 

Also, it appears any time the game tries to refresh the game lobby, or basically anything related to network code, it locks solid for at least a minute or so.

 

I see games popping in and out of the lobby but I'm still not able to actually do anything about it.

Ended up doing the same thing for curiosities sake and was able to get in myself.
Hope this isn't going to be some kind of cross account problem later?

PS -- Had the same results; but I guess that's everybody's experience today?

I had to repeat the process again. I'm not sure why, it might be because I played online, or it might be because I quit demigod, but I had to re-register again

I was about to make a post that now both my original login AND the newly registered one aren't working.

Guess I'm just gonna have to sit back until this mess gets sorted.

I too am being told I have an invalid username and password.  I've been playing since Friday with no problems at all up until today.

When this happens, it is 99.9% of the time caused by people who are using a differnet Impulse ID to logon to the game than the one that the game is associated with.

For instance, alban987, you do not have Demigod associated with your Impulse account. I can't tell you why that is. Typically it's due to people ordering with a different email address.  

For now, I'd contact [email protected] where they can work with you to merge accounts.

Though, bear in mind, right now, the servers are being hammered so it could be something as simple as needing to get more updates.

Before people go and talk about being "pissed off", let's bear in mind that the game isn't supposed to be available yet at all.

It may also simply be failing the login due to the overload on the servers.

I can vouch that the servers are getting hammered.

 

I'm 20 minutes away from their office and I can see a mushroom cloud forming on the he horizon....

 

 

also... trying to actually get IN to a game once you're connected is pretty painful right now.

 

Although I did just finish my first game and it was pretty :fap: as I hoped it would be.

Alright, I think I got my mess straightened out. Think it had something to do with my original account I started for Sins having some issues with Entrenchment and Demigod being registered to a different email addy. I noticed on my profiles that after registering the 2nd account with my new email, it put Entrenchment and Demigod both on my profile. So, I uninstalled Impulse and reinstalled.....has my games showing, was able to log into Sins and Demigod both.

 

So, I'm just gonna chill and enjoy singleplayer until the official launch kicks off....I think my version is a higher version than all the games I see being hosted anyway.

It's a bit whacky but I was finally able to get it working.  Assumptions made it confusing.  I pre-ordered the game today.  I installed impulse for the first time as well because this is my first game with it.  Created a Stardock/Impulse account (using same email address as purchased) and verified it.

It automatically had Demigod available and I downloaded it and installed.  If you right-click -> 'View Registration' on the game it gives you the serial number.  I assumed all was well and the game was registered yet you cannot login to multiplayer. 

After a several crashes from Impulse and some whacky behavior (such as the 'Add Registration' being greyed out) I did the 'Register Product' using the same email account used for purchase and now all is well.  Bottom line just follow the direction without any assumptions and it will probably work for you.

I had the same problem but when you choose join instant game on impule it works! now i can choose a demigod but there's another problem :( i'm blocked at page : finding a suitable match, please wait...

is this problem come from the servers? when will i be able to play online :(
