Anyone else getting a 2-5 second lag spike?

When I am hosting and playing against computers I get a 2-5 second lag spike frequently. It is so annoying I have to exit the game.

The game freezes for a moment several times, lets just hope this doesn't make it live.

This kind of anoying freezing and game slow response to commands came after the first versions of beta 3, i still believe its a beta thing.

I've been getting this as well. Occassionally the lag spikes will actually last for up to a minute or more. However, I suspect these are exceptional cases related to my ISP periodically cutting out, or something.

Happens to me a bit. There is always those 2 second freezes that happen mid-game. I think when everyone has graphics at lowest settings this doesnt happen.

i dont think it has to do with graphic settings, sim speed is allways above 5 in crucible, why should the game freeze, often.

I know ppl with sim speed 9 and game still freezes often, playing just agains AI, odd no?

I'm sure everyone must have this breaks during game, dont understand why so few complaint, or why there isn't a post from GPG os Stardock on this.

Will it be like this on release or not? Its quite anoying.

I'm having this problem too.  It doesn't happen every single match, but it does happen many matches.

This is a known issue in the beta related to some periodic server polling stuff.

End of kryo's quote

Good to ear, just hope you can get it to go away before release. Its anoying.

And thanks for some coment on these, just putted my hopes up.

Yes, even at low settings the game still freezes . It must be because of the ISP. I have portable broadband which is terrible for games, but it shouldn't really matter when I am hosting.  I think stardock has to change the way they hook people together. The way they are set up makes it only beneficial to those who have a very fast internet connection.  I guess I am in the monority of people who have crap internet speed.  FML. |-O |-O |-O |-O |-O |-O |-O |-O |-O |-O |-O |-O |-O |-O |-O

My game was freezing for 5-10 seconds during the match... After it happened frequently, I found out that it actually happens every time about 10 seconds before the background music changes tracks.  Weird stuff.
