WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 6.4 (build 73 x86) and black start menu (distorted display)

happens when resuming from standby

Hi Everyone,

I am having problems with registered version of WindowBlinds 6.4 (build 73 x86) with any skin I use. Whenever I resume my notebook ( Lenovo T400 with ATI 3470 graphics card 4 GB DDR3 Core2Duo T9500 Win XP SP3 Pro ) I see black start menu, dark right click menu. The only way to recover from this is either restart windowblinds or computer.  I made sure windowblinds is installed via Impulse, tried uninstall reinstall by cleaning all windowblinds folder but no luck. I understand it has something to do with per pixel rendering and I am sure my graphics card supports it. Another issue is I can't post to stardocks esupport and get an error

ERROR: Please select a valid department

and there is no selection or anyway to select the valid department. I am attaching screenshots of all the errors here , thanks for the help :)

Can you use another skin beside the diamond skin? Does this happen with another skin?

Ah, so that's what that check box does.... :\

This should be back up now, with all new departments! \o/

Go to Start> Run.. in XP or Start>Start Search in Vista, type "regedit" and hit enter.  Navigate to the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock\ObjectDesktop\WindowBlinds

You'll want to make sure it is set to the following path:

32 Bit:  C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\WindowBlinds
64 Bit:  C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Object Desktop\WindowBlinds
(NOTE: If you installed WindowBlinds to a different directory, replace the above default one with your custom location)

If the path was incorrect, change it and then reboot.

If it is in fact pointing to this path, please try the following:

-Launch Impulse.  Right click on the entry for WindowBlinds and choose "Verify application"
-Impulse will check the integrity of the installed application.  You should be given feedback as to the state of the installed application.
-If errors are found, an update should be made available in Impulse.  You'll need to select another application and then reselect WindowBlinds to run the update.
(NOTE: This is a UI bug in Impulse, that should be fixed in a future update)
-Once the update completes, reboot your PC.

Thank you for the help Shirley.

I forgot to mention in my earlier post that I did try to "verify installation" through impulse and there were no errors.

I just tried your suggestion with the registry key value and though the value was same but in DOS format like C:\Progra~1\Stardo~1>Object~1\Windowblinds so I changed it to  C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\WindowBlinds and rebooted the computer but still seeing same error

:(
