New to series: Question on Entrenchment

I'm completely new to the title, and have purchased both the original and Entrenchment.  Question:  As a noob, if I play Entrenchment, will I get the full flavor of the game?  (i.e., is Entrenchment the Original PLUS expansion or is it a different expansion that does not have all the features of the original?).

Entrenchment is mostly vanilla sins PLUS a few things, like you say.  However, there are some gameplay differences and, obviously, vanilla has less units and no starbases.  Basically Entrenchment is just "more" than regular Sins but does not sacrifice any features.

Thank you!  That's kind of what I thought, given that playing 'Entrenchment' had the tutorials in them!  But getting some clarification from someone who's played it makes me feel better...

There are some balance differences between versions (e.g. carrier build rates etc...) and I believe some AI ones (besides the "you need to build starbases and place mines" ones that were added for the new units.

When you get a little better (e.g. able to take on a couple of hard or even unfair AIs), come find us online in the MP universe (Ironclad Online). It's a whole step up from SP..... :)
