Okay, here's what you do for this game: You have to "ban" the person who posted above you for an outrageous, silly, or funny reason. Got it?
banned for I think the biggest issue I've had with Protestants (keep in mind my exposure is largely US) is that they feel the Catholics are some weird form of pagan and so approach them that way (as seen previously) and most Catholics seem to think Protestants are just Catholics gone delusional. The only ones I've met who really don't seem to take sides are the Eastern Orthodox (some Greek and some other).
That's just amongst the Christians (btw, if you think Jesus is the messiah, you're Christian, no 'ands', 'ifs', or 'buts' about it.)
I'll leave it all alone at this point because it gets too complicated the further one delves.
banned for where do you two get these so called "facts"? Ryat is correct about Catholics but neither of you know squat about Christianity apparently. It is not a religion its a close relationship with God for those of us that actually do as he tells us. People choose not to follow simply because they dont want to have to give up their evil and sinful ways. As for why I care.... I care because that is what TRUE Christians do. We care about everybody and we try to do our job of saving people from damnation. I have tried to do my job and therefor your blood will not be on my hands when the time of judgment comes. I have spoken and you refuse to hear. God loves all of us and you reject his infinite love. What you people dont understand is the fact that what awaits you if you are not saved is not worth all the sinful pleasure and evil you are so unwilling to give up. In the end none of that stuff matters and you need to be thinking about where you want to spend your eternity. I have done my job in the Lord's name and i pray that you see the error of your ways before it is too late. I forgive you for your transgressions against me. accept him? Okay, if I don't accept him as the messiah, what am I accepting him as? If he's just a man, he can't be the Christ. If he's a man who decided to get himself killed for an ideal, but has no divine roots, he may be a martyr, but still not Christ.
Repent my sins? Funny. What's a sin? Polygamy? Not according the bible. How about slavery? Also not according to the bible. Maybe I should be punished for having sex before marriage? Oh, that's not a sin according to the bible either. Oh, and what are we going for? Old Testament? New Testament? Before or after the Council of Trent? With or without the Koran?
Idols? You mean that image of a guy hanging on a couple pieces of wood? Weird... I see most all Christians with a cross dangling somewhere. Guess those don't count.

No Ryat. That applies to EVERY religion. Just because someone says I am a XXXX (with X's being a religion). doesnt meant they are automatically follow the religion's rules or commandments, and definitely doesnt necessarily mean they are good or bad people.
So my point is, that ALL religions suck if you see it that way. Its either all of them or none at all.
But I dont see things the way you do. In my point of view, everyone is free to believe whatever the hell they want, and follow whatever God they believe is real (if they do believe in anything).
I think you dont like hypocrisy, hence the rant in your post. Thats fine, but if you are gonna put some people in a box, and say that these people are bad, say it for all people, not just certain groups of them.
That is true about Protestants in a certain extent. But it doesnt mean that all Protestants feel that way, or all Catholics for that matter. Sure there are people that are just racist, and believe that every other religion except yours, is evil, and needs to be annihilated.
But for the majority of them, this is correct, although I wouldnt be my money on it.
About Chr. Orthodox, I can only speak for Greeks, because I am a Greek. And what you said is true. We dont take sides in this, but we do despise of 1 thing:
We dont like the fact that many Catholics pay money to the Pope, in order to secure a place in Heaven/God's kingdom.
Come on, this is just retarded, no sane man can believe that God needs money to welcome you to his home.
Anyway, thats about it. Mostly we dont pay attention to Catholics or Protestants.
And yes, thats why they are called "Christians", because they believe in Jesus Christ.

Yes, thats right, I just said that. Its not about what religion you belong to. Its about your actions and way of life that define you. And unless you worship Satan or any other Demon pagan cult (you know, there are a lot of cults these days), and you lead a good, decent, full of love for others, life, then you ARE a good person, and you deserve God's love and acceptance.
I dont wanna start about Cults or Satanists, or even bring up the homosexual/pederast Priests, who are so evil, and act like holy saints when people go to Church and kiss their "holy" hand, looking at them with the utmost respect.
Oh and about caring, thats NOT caring. What you do atm is not caring for us here, what you actually are doing is telling us that we are all damned to Hell, and that we deserve that, just because we are not part of your own religion, and that you ASSUME that we are evil people.

Banned because there is a difference between worshiping an idol, and holding the idol as a SYMBOL, to show what you believe in.

The bible is a book, written by some people. It is meant as a guide, to help those who need any form of guidance, cant choose between good and evil, and generally help them in their lives.
Its not something you should follow blindly, because you should have your own judgement and sense of good and evil to guide you.
And a sin is what YOU consider it as a sin. A rapist might tell you that its not a sin to rape school girls, and enjoy himself. For him, it isnt a sin. That doesnt mean it isnt evil though.
Sin = Religious word for "bad" or "wrong". = Disobeying God, and abandoning his love.
