OK...since you asked so nicely...
....I'd love to see the ability to incorporate .wav files and soundpackager files into skins.
I meant in an already existing skin instead of having to use 2or3 applications. Sent you a pm with a screen shot. ![]()
One good thing about the WB update is that this issue Link seems to be fixed! Unfortunatly is seems that PS menus are no longer being skinned (they are classic color menus not "real" menus) Is that a trade off?
The old "bug" with the buttons in the address bar on explorer windows when maximized has become a different problem. now the bottom of the buttons is chopped off. It's like the buttons fall below the address bar.

*EDIT* No the PS CS3 issue in that link is not fixed ![]()
Could be '2of3' ![]()
I'm seeing some menu corruption (artifacts) in Safari's latest beta. Most of the lines will disappear on mouseover. Vista Home Premium.

Now I know this feature request is in the makings soon I hope. But I'd like to see what the tabs in ie 8 could do with a complete skin feature via SKS and WB. Quick tabs and all...
As it is I really do not have much difference except for the colors in the backgrounds I'd like to change and the tabs themselves.
Thus far I've found no problems here with this release and I'm running Vista SP2 with IE8. Will be giving it a go on Win 7 here in about another week after new system is built.
Thanks again Team for all the hard work!

I have noticed that on Windows XP when ObjectDock is set to hide the taskbar, the part of the start button skin that lies above the start bar still shows up. I'm sure this is a problem with windowblinds and not objectdock, because when using default xp skins (that don't have an overhanging start button) this doesn't happen. It seems that Windowblinds is still drawing the overhang even without the bar there.
I don't know if this is specific to this version of Wb, or if it was the same with older versions because I just installed WB a few days ago. Also, If it makes a difference, the specific skin I've tried this on is the Burgundy MyColors skin. I have it applied through WB though, not MyColors.
umm.. WB 6.4 (on my XP PC anyway) limits the # of skins it displays - max 21 . The previous version accomodated more skins, & I can't seem to find an option on 6.4 to override the skin display limitation, so I resort to SKS to preview downloaded skins - mine are way beyond 21.
Any suggestion for a workaround would be much appreciated, thanks! ![]()
Under "Skin Options" click rebuild list......I display nearly 100 (XP Pro SP3)
For Vstyler and others, I solved the problem wherein setting the explorer backgrounds to 100% transparent (or 0% solid/opaque if you prefer) causes an empty explorer folder's background to go solid black.
Turns out that taking the slider all the way to the left gives WindowBlinds a headache, but all you have to do is click on the slider widget and hit the right arrow key on your keyboard once. It won't even cause the widget to move visibly (you can check your input by hitting hit a couple more times, to see it move a nudge).
This sets the background to a fraction of a percent solid, which, although NOT noticeable visibly, does stop WindowBlinds from getting a headache from the technique (probably by thwarting a divide by 0 error or something similar). So this simple tweak gives perfect results and no bug.
Well...I've been having problems with Windows Explorer taking a few minutes to actually display items or to finish loading or something. When I start WinExp, the window is blank, then the "not responding" window frame shows up, eventually it finishes.
In an attempt to troubleshoot this mess, I found this entry in the Audit section of the Event Viewer...there are over 80 entries (I tried counting, but there are too many. They start at 9:54:02 and end at 9:58:52 which is 'about' how long it took explorer to get over itself.)

I actually thought that IconPackager was the culprit, it still could be, there are issues reported in that section of the forums, but I though I would pass this along.
Thanks,
David
From your filedates,I'm guessing you updated to 6.4 about when I did.
These though are much older:
Wbhelp.dll 2007/08/27 11:54:07
Tray.dll 2007/09/12 17:58:21
Wbload.dll 2007/11/04 17:50:28
You might try uninstalling WB's and getting a fresh install. Maybe the Wbload dll is corrupt.
eh, why not. WB isn't running at the moment. Would you happen to know where that little SD help app is that allows one to COMPLETELY uninstall an application?
See reply #2 in this thread LINK for the zapper.Good Luck.
Heh...I must have cleaned WB out thoroughly because the Zapper didn't have WB listed. CCleaner found stuff. Re-installing most recent WB version...
Wow...It would appear that updating WB using Impulse doesn't get all the newest file versions. That's amazing.

That is correct, the updates only replace the files that need changed. A reinstall gets you new files.More importantly, is it working for you now?
So far so good. (holds breath)
I haven't added much back into my system yet. One at a time, reboot, play around a little, add another... I'm sure you are familiar with the procedure.
I also uninstalled/re-installed IP (as you are aware) and these two things now appear to be functioning with no Explorer crashing.
Thank you Wizard1956 for your help. You HAVE helped and I appreciate it.
