Don't remove so much interaction when dead.

The death effect is cool, but as it stands now I might as well minimize the game while I'm dead.  I can't look at my abilities, I can't look at what items are available, I can't look at enemy health while I'm dead (or allies).  All I can do is chat and try to watch the action through the dimmness of the death haze (which makes watching the fighting not very enjoyable).

My suggestion would be to at the least let a player adjust their skills while dead.  Ideally let them look at items while dead as well so they can try to plan what to buy.  As it is there is not any time where a player can just sit and read tooltips and since there is no online database of items yet (that I know of) this can really hurt the learning curve of the game for new players.  The one time when you would be able to look at skills and items in peace (when dead) the game shuts both of those things out.

Yeah it annoys me too..

I want to look at the shop or something while dead. :/

+1, i have also tried to have that effect removed, but the devs seems to really like it ;(
i just don't see the interest of that thing, the effect is really nice, but it is the only thing you can do while dead is watching it which is very boring.

I'm OK with the death effect staying if the shops open up or something.  Hell, throw in a mini-solitaire game so I have *something* to do while dead.

I totally agree

It's mentioned before but worth mentioning again.  Make it like other fps games, let us watch the battlefield, or the shop, or something.

I wouldn't mind if impulse allowed for in game browsing similar to what Steam allows while in game.

You die, simply press alt+tab and you can now surf the web for 30 seconds. :p

Yeah, that's what I do now (browse the web while dead on another monitor) but I would much rather have the opportunity to do something in-game.  For people without multiple monitors alt-tabbing isn't necessarily the best option either since you may miss getting back into the game in time.

I agree, we ought to be able to at least see what's going on and chat with our allies while we're dead so we can plan for what to do next while we're waiting to respawn, or at least type "All: Totally worth it." or "All: Nice one.  Next time it'll be you" or something like that. :)

You can chat while your dead, no?

Agreed they need to at least remove that crazy blurry stuff or let us look at shops etc. It looks good, but its boring :)

Hrm, I thought I couldn't chat....or maybe that was while the "eject player" box is up - that's another time we really ought to be able to chat.  Regardless, they really need to let the player do other stuff while dead, not just stare at the skull and timer.

You can chat while you are dead.  You cannot chat while in Eject screen, and yes, you should be able to.
