Do flags fail?

I think they do.

In most of my games it's either one side dominates the map and any attempt by the n00b team to recapture flags would just = tele' rape or a simple walk to the flag to defend it since the popular maps are small enough. Then there are games where both sides are equally skilled and flags would just go dark, light, dark, light, dark , light and so on but there wouldn't be much of  difference in war rank. I think flag locks need to be dropped to like 150 gold or some thinking needs to be done.

I don't really think I agree.  Flags seem fine as-is, in my opinion.

I like flags as is.  The mechanic works.

I like flags too, I'd just set flag capture time to a longer duration if you don't like the back and forth swapping. Also, noobs shouldn't GET the flags, as they don't deserve them now do they?

Aside from changing teleportation (give us a graphical effect to know a teleport is incoming, ala DOTA proz), I think flags are fine as-is.

Having a visual telling me someone was porting near my location would give me advice to stay or run. I'm all for it!
